Midsummer

Virtual Institute

Program Overview

The Midsummer Virtual Institute of the Emerald Coast Chamber Music Festival is a program that emerged from mass summer music program cancellations during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, including our own Chamber Music Institute.  The original Virtual Institute was met with such a warm response that we decided to expand and commit to an annual Virtual Institute that would help inspire and motivate students into their fall semesters.

Program Highlights

The ECCMF Team is known for building community and maintaining personal connections with all participants of the online program.  This creates a close knit group of musicians, despite virtual limitations.  In addition to joining the ECCMF family, students will have the opportunity to participate in:

  • Private Lessons with Artist Faculty

  • Guaranteed Masterclass Opportunities with Guest Artists

  • Attend Seminars and Panel Discussions dedicated to personal and professional development.

Our Seminars and Panel Discussions are geared towards topics that tackle a wide range of issues, such as how to pursue various career paths in music, how to approach your own music education, how to be your best self as an individual and musician, and more!  The Artist Faculty are young professionals who understand how to be successful in the 21st century and how to stand out in an intensively competitive field.

The best part about attending the Midsummer Virtual Institute is that no travel is required!  Participants can receive world class music education from the comfort of their own home.  International students are welcome and encouraged to apply, if they can manage attending a program in U.S. Eastern Time Zone.
